DIG IT! (7 to 11 year-old)

Explore your big backyard called Earth! Grow your own insect eating plants, get an up close look at how the food chain works with an owl pellet dissection, become a designer when we make our own natural tie dyes from things that grow around us, harness solar power to cook a yummy snack in your own solar oven, and explore weather and how it affects our world! All this and more in our specially designed earth guard series focusing on the earth and what we can do to use its wonderful natural resources in a positive way!

Jr. Outback Expedition (4-6 year old)

G’day, mate! We’re headed to the land down under for an amazing Australian adventure! Learn about kangaroos, koala and crocs, explore traditional customs, enjoy a yummy Aussie treat, create aborginal music with a Didgeridoo, and take an underwater look at the Great Barrier Reef!

Science Explorers is an innovative, hands-on science company dedicated to providing an opportunity for children ages 4-11 to become engaged in the wonders of science. Whether it’s an after-school program, science summer camp, a school assembly or scout badge earning event, Science Explorers can make science cool and exciting through our interactive, hands-on format. Ever dissect a shark? What about a squid? Have you ever mixed together two liquids to create a solid? Made glowing slime? Examined a real heart? Built and launched your own rocket? Lifted a person using nothing but air? These are some of the awesome experiments that make our programs so popular.

Science Explorers was founded in 1999 by Jennifer Moorehead with a mission to make science fun. Since then we have brought our exciting, inquiry-based hands-on science programs to thousands of elementary aged children throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania.
