Science Explorers has been providing hands-on STEM literacy enrichment to Elementary students since 1999. Our DIY lessons are a flexible and affordable way to add science programming for your students. All materials and lessons are included, and our programs are grant-eligible.
Make STEM Exciting With DIY Kits From Science Explorers
Our DIY programs have been used in after-school programs, classrooms, and summer camps in schools and community-based organizations around the country. Science Explorers is easy to implement, offering flexible synchronous and asynchronous programs and packages. Our lessons typically take 60 minutes to complete and include everything your students will need.
What’s Included in Our STEM Kits for Classrooms?
Every DIY program comes with the following:
- A stand-alone, individually wrapped lesson with materials for activities
- A set of materials for each student
- A pre-recorded video lesson students and staff can follow
- Written instructions with “what’s the science” explanations
- A family page for students to take home and share what they learned
- Custom order options to meet your unique programming goals
- Staff professional development materials
How It Works
At Science Explorers, we try to make this process as straightforward as possible. You bring the students, and we’ll deliver the fun!
Your Role
The first step is deciding which DIY program you’d like to use and when you’d like to offer the program. After that, you need to drum up interest. Our team can provide flyers — print and digital — for you to send to families and get them to sign up for the program. Families can sign up with you or with us.
We’ll also need you to provide space for the program. The room should be able to accommodate a moderate-sized group and provide access to water. From there, our team will take over!
Our Role
Our team will provide all the materials you need to make the program happen. We can even provide an instructor. We also hire instructors from your school based on your unique needs. With everything in place, science lessons are as fun as they are educational.

Our After-School Curriculum Kits Are Grant-Eligible
Science Explorers has intentionally designed our STEM kits for educational purposes, which makes them eligible for various grants, including private, local and federal. Our DIY science programs are:
- Aligned with K to 8 science standards.
- Based on research to support student achievement.
- Made up of various hands-on activities for developing critical thinking and social-emotional skills.
With these features, our programs can meet grant approval, and our team is here to make it happen. We offer a range of grant support services to help your school get the funding it needs for our STEM kits. We can support you with:
