Science Explorers week-long science summer camps are day camps offered at elementary schools, colleges and universities, museums, libraries, botanical gardens and parks & recreation departments. Our exciting, hands-on approach to science provides children the unique opportunity to conduct exciting and engaging experiments and activities. Dig It! NEW TOPIC!
Ages 7-11
Explore your big backyard called Earth! Grow your own insect eating plants, get an up close look at how the food chain works with an owl pellet dissection, become a designer when we make our own natural tie dyes from things that grow around us, harness solar power to cook a yummy snack in your own solar oven, and explore weather and how it affects our world! All this and more in our specially designed earth guard series focusing on the earth and what we can do to use its wonderful natural resources in a positive way! VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.
Leonardo’s Toy Chest
Ages 8-11
Many of Leonardo da Vinci’s great inventions were scientific marvels… and make excellent toys! Fill your toy box with wooden creations of your own that came from Leonardo’s designs.
Half day campers will create a clockwork car, attack a castle with a catapult, project an image through a camera obscura, and show your artistic side while making a revolving stage with figures that dance or jump!
Full day campers construct more wooden inventions including a pinball machine, a robot drummer where you set the rhythm, and a paddlewheel boat that you can race.
Science is combined with play to bring you this awesome new camp. (We will be working with tools.) VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.
Take a Dive
Ages 7-11
Dive into the world of marine biology and oceanography.
Half day campers will dissect a real shark, participate in a fisherman’s challenge, bring to life genuine Triassic Triops, examine the anatomy of a fish and learn the ancient technique of gyotaku or “fish rubbing,” come face-to-face with some unique sea creatures such as squid and learn to survive at sea with a homemade solar still.
Full day campers will continue the fun as we conduct a whale adaptation lab, examine “weird wonders of the sea,” create a kelp forest and make your own submarine! Jump right in for an underwater sea adventure. VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.
Potions, Powders and Polymers Academy
Ages 7-11
Is it science or magic? You’ll find out!
Half day campers investigate creepy creatures, create erupting foam monsters, make instant snow, dig for hidden treasures, mix up glowing slime and investigate the science of illusions.
Full day campers will do all this plus learn troll tricks, conduct amazing air pressure experiments, build spectacular spectroscopes and make a delicious ice cream treat. VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.
Far Out Space Academy
Ages 7-11
3…2…1 BLAST OFF to discovering space and flight!
Half day campers will explore the stars and constellations by taking an out-of-this-world sky tour in our homemade planetarium, building and launching rockets while learning about Newton’s Laws of Motion, and completing a mission to Mars by designing and building a 3-D model space station.
Full day campers will continue to use their astronaut wits to build air powered nano-rovers, make edible craters, create dry ice comets, and work in engineering teams to construct space capsules to launch “eggs-tronauts”! Come join us on our mission through outer space! VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.
GLOBAL EXPLORERS
Ages 6-11 ~ full day only
Send your child on a journey around the world with stops in The Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. Campers will explore would culture through games, music, crafts and cuisine. During this action packed camp your child will make a Korean hanbok from paper, reenact a bullfight from Andalucia, help assemble a model of Monet’s Garden in Giverny, explore Native American planting techniques, learn about the Lion Dance in China and much more! Campers will also discover world cuisine by preparing delicious dishes each day including Tanzanian peanut butter soup, Mexican hot chocolate and Salady Voankazo, a delicious fruit salad from vanilla beans (Madagascar.) During out visit to Africa the children will enjoy a Safari Animal Encounter with a LIVE lemur, fenec fox, boa constrictor and more! VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.

Ages 4-6
G’day, mate! We’re headed to the land down under for an amazing Australian adventure! Learn about kangaroos, koala and crocs, explore traditional customs, enjoy a yummy Aussie treat, create aborginal music with a Didgeridoo, and take an underwater look at the Great Barrier Reef! Jr. Investigative Team
Ages 4-6
“Hey there, future Science Explorers, do we have the camp for you!” Join our team of curious tiny-techs as we explore a new theme each day. We will create an edible ocean, experiment with a “magic” magnet bottle, investigate butterflies, discover how birds adapt to their environments and make colorful sidewalk chalk! Do you want to be an archaeologist…a geologist…or how about a biologist ? You can be all this and more in this fun-filled camp! Each day we’ll explore a new habit as we dig for dinosaurs in the desert, make creatures of the rainforest, create an arctic habitat, erupt a volcano, and go spelunking in your own cave creation.
