Science Explorers week-long science summer camps are day camps offered at elementary schools, colleges and universities, museums, libraries, botanical gardens and parks & recreation departments. Our exciting, hands-on approach to science provides children the unique opportunity to conduct exciting and engaging experiments and activities. Our curriculum is developed by educators and lessons are aligned with the national science standards. In short, we make learning science FUN! Thank you for your support of science literacy!

Now offering half day camp options! You have the choice of attending a Half Day Camp AM, Half Day Camp PM or both!

Please provide a morning and afternoon snack. (If attending an AM and PM camp the same week at the same location, please provide lunch)

A confirmation email will be sent once the registration process is complete. It will include a receipt with our tax ID and the required medical forms. Please make sure to bring the medical forms on your first day of camp. Those who register through a school or township will not receive an email from Science Explorers.

Engineering & Physics

NEW CAMP!! – Amusement Park Adventures

Come along for the ride as we build, mix and spin our way to an awesome Science Explorers’ carnival day! Visit the midway where you’ll experience first-hand a rockin’ rollercoaster, bouncing bungees, and creations and concoctions straight from the lab including a super spin-art machine, homemade ice-cream, awesome art potions and a “gingerly-made” soda.

Geology/Biology

3rd Rock from the Sun

Explore the wonders of nature here on earth. Investigate insect-eating plants, become a designer and make natural tie dyes from things that grow around us, create your own natural first aid kit with plants that help sooth insect bites and burns, and build a volcano that you can erupt over and over!

Earth’s Mysteries

Discover the amazing mysteries of the earth! Go back in time and create cast fossils, get an up close look at the food chain as you dissect an owl pellet, harness solar power to cook a yummy snack, and create a tornado in a bottle! There is so much to discover about how things work on this incredible planet.

Physics

FUN-omenal Physics

What do you get when you take the physics of motion, add into some electrifying experiments, and mix it up with some chemistry? Everyone has a blast! Create your own motorized invention, experiment with light and flight, make your own kaleidoscope and experiment with giant floating bubbles.

Physistry

A cool combination of physics and chemistry make up this awesome camp. Use chromatography to separate the colors in candy, mix up some crazy chemical reactions, build an electric game, investigate the effects of air pressure, and compete in a tall tower engineering competition!

Marine Biology

Take A Dive

Dive into the world of marine biology! Dissect a real shark, participate in a fisherman’s challenge, examine the anatomy of a fish and learn the ancient technique of gytaku or “fish rubbing”, learn to survive at sea with a homemade solar still, create a kelp forest and make your own submarine.

Under the Sea

Explore marine biology and oceanography as you come face-to-face with some unique sea creatures such as squid, bring to life genuine Triassic Triops, conduct a whale adaptations lab, and examine many “weird wonders of the sea”.

Chemistry

Potions, Powders & Polymers

Is it science or magic? You’ll find out! Create erupting foam monsters, conduct amazing air pressure experiments, dig for hidden treasures, investigate the science of illusions and build spectroscopes to view the spectrum of different types of light.

Mysteries & Mixtures

We’ll reveal many mysteries of science as we investigate creepy creatures, learn troll tricks, capture a rainbow in a bottle, make instant snow, mix up glowing slime and conduct lab tests on mystery substances.

Jr. Science Camps (ages 4-6)

Jr. Outback Expedition

G’day, mate! We’re headed to the land down under for an amazing Australian adventure! Learn about kangaroos, koala and crocs, explore traditional customs, enjoy a yummy Aussie treat, create aboriginal music with a Didgeridoo, and take an underwater look at the Great Barrier Reef! Jr. Investigative Team

“Hey there, future Science Explorers, do we have the camp for you!” Join our team of curious tiny-techs as we explore a new theme each day. We will create an edible ocean, experiment with a “magic” magnet bottle, investigate butterflies, discover how birds adapt to their environments and make colorful sidewalk chalk! Jr. Discoverers

A week of fabulous hands on fun…Get elbow deep in botany, oceanography and space. Let’s bug out as we investigate our six legged friends. We’ll be outta this world with different themes every day. VIEW DAILY SCHEDULE.

Jr. Explorers

Do you want to be an archaeologist…a geologist…or how about a biologist ? You can be all this and more in this fun-filled camp! Each day we’ll explore a new habitat as we dig for dinosaurs in the desert, make creatures of the rain forest, create an arctic habitat, erupt a volcano, and go spelunking in your own cave creation.
