Become a club helper
Thank you for wanting to learn more about becoming a club helper at your child’s school!
What are the duties of a club helper?
Club helpers assist the instructor in basic tasks such as taking attendance, passing out materials, and occasionally helping with classroom management. You would arrive 10-15 minutes before the club starts and leave with the instructor once everything is cleaned up (usually 10-15 minutes after the club ends). Club helpers also help younger students complete experiments as needed.
If you are interested in becoming a Club Instructor the duties entail: Teaching hands-on science lessons using curriculum and materials provided by Science Explorers. The clubs are very interactive and you will be covering the objective of the lesson and making sure all the students are engaged throughout the one hour club session. Teaching experience preferred. Lots of enthusiasm required — you provide the fun and we provide the science!
All of our instructors and helpers must have current background clearances required by your school/location. Contact our office to learn more about the necessary clearances needed for your school.
What do I do if I’d like to help?
If you are interested in helping with any of these positions, please email Christina Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org and let her know which school your child attends. She will get back to you and let you know if we can use your help at their school club.
Thank you for your support of science literacy!
