School Assemblies:
Have the entire student body get in on the fun! Choose from the topics listed below and get your school into science!
Topics Available
“Chemistry Curiosities” – Join us as we create exothermic and endothermic chemical reactions, examine the effects of dry ice through the process of sublimation, observe color changes of acids and bases, produce a foam gnome, and show a suspension by making slippery slime! The assembly presenter teaches the scientific method, roles of scientists, and laboratory protocol while interacting with the audience and inviting individual students to assist in the hands-on lessons.
“Motion Commotion” – The action never stops as we learn about Newton’s Three Laws of Motion. We explore the amazing effects of air pressure as we launch into some rockin’ experiments to explore the relationships between the forces acting on the body and the motion of the body
Wellness “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” – Did you know the largest organ in our bodies is our skin? UV protection, perspiration, hydration, infection, and vibration are processes examined for our health’s sake. Protecting our skin, our brains, our hearing and our well-being is the focus of this assembly.
*Assemblies are approximately 50 minutes in length.
Family Science Nights:
Hosts a night of family fun “edutainment” with exciting demonstrations and experiments. After the presentation everyone can get elbow deep in cool hands-on science by making a take-home science project.
Choose from:
- Chemical Reactions – Make slime or experiment with endothermic/exothermic reactions
- Inventions – Create your own ice cream, silly putty, or volcano
- Electricity – Light up your life making your own flashlight!
*Includes a 50-minute assembly plus 30 minutes of hands-on project for up to 50 participants. Additional participants are extra to cover material and provide additional instructors.
